Service Description

Get ready to travel across the United States without leaving the classroom. In State of Mind, young learners will embark on an exciting weekly adventure to explore a different state. This fun, interactive class brings geography to life through hands-on learning and discovery. Each week students will dive into a new state and learn key facts such as the state capital, official state bird, tree, flower, famous landmarks, unique features, geography, climate, and fun trivia. Through engaging activities like stories, maps, songs, games, coloring, and simple crafts, children will build a solid foundation in U.S. geography while developing research and presentation skills. During the final three weeks of the class, students will choose their favorite state to research and create a special project. They will have the opportunity to work on their project in class or at home and proudly present it to their classmates, sharing what they’ve learned. Each week students will experiment with different materials and techniques including drawing, painting, collage, sculpting with clay, printmaking, and mixed-media projects. They will learn basic art concepts such as color, shape, texture, and composition while creating their own unique masterpieces inspired by animals, nature, stories, seasons, and their own wonderful ideas. With a maximum of just 12 students, every child receives plenty of individual attention, encouragement, and guidance in a warm and supportive environment. This small class size allows for meaningful interaction and ensures that each student’s creativity is celebrated. Art Class helps children build patience, problem-solving skills, and self-esteem while fostering a lifelong appreciation for the arts. It’s the perfect place for young artists to explore, create, and shine.
