Beginning A Cappella Choir (Grades 4-12)

Service Description

Classes will be held on 1/25, 1/22, 2/12, 2/26, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19, 4/2, 4/16, 4/23, 4/30, 5/7. Beginning A Cappella Choir introduces students to the fundamentals of vocal performance in a supportive, collaborative ensemble setting. Throughout the 12-week term, the music selection for this course will be drawn exclusively from Sacred Songs of our Country. Through these inspiring pieces, students will develop essential skills in basic music theory, pitch accuracy, vocal blending, and harmonizing. Engaging exercises and group rehearsals will help singers learn to listen intently, adapt seamlessly, and contribute confidently to an a cappella ensemble.The course culminates in a final recital performance that showcases the ensemble’s progress, musical growth, and heartfelt interpretation of these sacred songs. The techniques and foundational knowledge gained prepare students for future choir participation and continued vocal development.
